Foundations in Ecology

19 Dec at 08:30 – 23 Dec at 18:00, join us in rural N Thailand to explore the foundations of our natural world. You can take this workshop with workshops 13-16, all focusing on ecology and ecovillage design.
Details: In this workshop we will start to understand the cycles of life and how our water and our air are constantly recycled through the soil, animals, plants and other components of the environment. As a result, we will also come to understand the connections between these cycles and the significance of the environmental crises that we are now facing. We will make some forays into the forest to learn how to monitor biodiversity and ecological variables like the size of trees and the diversity of invertebrates. You can expect to both learn pedagogy for explaining these concepts in fun and accessible ways, and monitoring techniques that you can take back to your communities for a wide range of ecological projects.
