During 15-22 April SEA-Junction offered workshops on reverse glass paintings and on making and coloring wayang made from recycled plastic bottles (‘garbage’ shadow poppets or wayang uwuh). The workshops were facilitated by Indonesian painter Iskandar Harrdjodimuljo. His reverse glass paintings were also exposed during the entire duration.
Iskandar Harrdjodimuljo is an autodidact painter and artist who has had many group and solo exhibitions in Indonesia and his work is appreciated by local and foreign collectors and art lovers. He cares about the environment and works with recycled material. He also offers workshops for children and adults on art with recycled material. The exhibition and workshops in SEA Junction would be for the first time outside Indonesia.
