Dear All,

We are glad to inform you that the celebration for our 1st Anniversary went very well with a festive bazaar, and engaging discussion on medical tourism and a constructive meeting with our founding partners and key supporters. We now enter our second year with a varied program in terms of activities and countries involved.

Our rich program for July starts with the launching of an alternative tourist guide on Bangkok by three Indonesian female writers and resident of the city and a creative workshop on corporal punishment and positive discipline by the Philippines Educational Theater Association (PETA) to screening of a documentary on inter-ethnic relations in Myanma and another on environmental destruction in Sarawak, and a talk by renown journalist Michael Vatikiotis on current governance issues in Southeast Asia. SEA Junction will also organize a panel discussion on philanthropy in Southeast Asia at the 10th International Conference on Asian Studies (ICAS) in Chiang Mai and is considering a related event in Bangkok. You can read more in this month agenda below.

Looking forward to welcoming you and please help us disseminating this information to your network. All events are free, but donations to enable us to continue our activities are welcome!

Best regards,

Lia Sciortino Sumaryono
Founder and Executive Director SEA Junction
