DESCRIPTION:More information at https://spafacon2027.seameo-spafa.org/home \nImportant Dates: \nSession proposal submission deadline: 31 July 2026 \nSelected proposal notification: 15 August 2026 \nConference dates: 14-16 June 2027 \nConference Information \nWe are delighted to announce the 2027 SEAMEO SPAFA International Conference on Southeast Asian Archaeology and Fine Arts (SPAFACON2027)\, scheduled for 14-16 June 2027 (excluding excursions and side events) in Bangkok\, Thailand. SPAFACON stands as the premier academic conference for the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Archaeology and Fine Arts dedicated to the dissemination and enhancement of archaeological knowledge\, fine arts and the rich cultural heritage of Southeast Asia. \nWe warmly invite scholars\, researchers\, practitioners\, and enthusiasts to submit session proposals that explore the latest advancements and findings in Southeast Asian archaeology\, cultural heritage\, and fine arts (encompassing both performing and visual arts). We are particularly interested in submissions that promote interdisciplinary conversations\, bridging experts and aficionados from diverse fields across the region. \nSession conveners will be responsible for soliciting papers to be presented within their designated sessions\, liaising between the speakers and the conference organisers and the efficient running of the session within the allotted time. \nProposal Guidelines: \n\nTitle and Abstract: Proposals should feature a session title and an abstract ranging from 150-300 words. The abstract should detail the session’s theme\, its overarching purpose\, objectives\, and\, if available\, a preliminary list of speakers.\nConvener Details: Kindly provide the full name\, a concise bio\, affiliation\, and contact information of the session convener.\nConvener Limitations: An individual may only act as the primary convener for one session. However\, they are permitted to serve as a co-convener in other sessions. This ensures diverse leadership and representation across all sessions.\nAssessment Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated based on disciplinary and geographic distribution.
