DESCRIPTION:Asia Pacific Forum on Women\, Law and Development (APWLD) is currently inviting women from Asia Pacific countries (specifically from the sub-regions of the Pacific\, East Asia\, Central Asia\, South Asia and Southeast Asia) with relevant experience and skills to apply for the following two exciting positions: \n\nMonitoring and Evaluation Officer [re-opened call]\nHuman Resource and Executive Officer\n\nThe successful applicants will work with our committed Secretariat to support a powerful network of women’s rights organisations\, movements and activists across the region; and significantly contribute to APWLD’s institutional strength and sustainability. \nAPWLD is a regional network of women’s organisations and activists in Asia Pacific\, committed to women’s human rights and feminist movements.  APWLD’s members are drawn from 27 countries and the Secretariat is based in Chiang Mai\, Thailand with a satellite office based in Penang\, Malaysia.  If you are deeply committed to supporting feminist\, progressive movements and challenging structural inequalities\, please consider applying to join our powerful team! \nSelection Criteria for Monitoring and Evaluation Officer \nDemonstrated commitment to the promotion of women’s human rights in Asia Pacific; \nA degree in social and political sciences; human rights\, development\, women’s studies or other relevant disciplines; \nMinimum of five years’ experience in development work and women’s rights at the national\, regional level or international level; \nExperience and knowledge of feminist monitoring\, evaluation and learning (MEL) approaches and methods.  Experience in feminist MEL system design and implementation is an asset; \nProven knowledge on different monitoring and evaluation frameworks and tracking tools is an asset; \nIn-depth understanding of the political\, economic and socio-cultural environments in the region; \nHigh level project management skills including programme planning\, implementation\, monitoring and evaluation; \nDemonstrated ability to work with a diverse\, membership driven network; \nExcellent command of English language\, both oral and written and demonstrated ability to write for movements as well as program reports and project proposals.    Proficiency in another language other than English is an asset; \nGood interpersonal skills\, with ability to network in a multi-cultural environment and to develop strong professional relationships with members and other stakeholders; \nProficient ICT skills – familiarity in using online shared platforms such as Google Suite and Dropbox is preferred; \nMust be able to travel overseas as required. \nRemuneration \nSalary range commences at THB 51\,750 (equivalent of USD 1\,500) per month. Other benefits include contributions to employment pension fund; education allowance for children\, 13th month salary\, housing allowance and relocation allowances for staff required to relocate to Chiang Mai\, Thailand or Penang\, Malaysia. \nA probationary period of four months applies. \nThis is a full-time position with two-years contracts (renewable). \nSelection Criteria for Human Resource and Executive Officer \nDemonstrated commitment to the promotion of women’s human rights in Asia Pacific; \nA degree in human resource management; business administration; social and political sciences; women’s studies or other relevant disciplines; \nMinimum of five years’ experience in development work and women’s rights at the national\, regional level or international level; \nExperience and knowledge of various human resource functions and tools\, e.g. organisational diagnosis/development\, staff recruitment\, professional development and performance management\, staff welfare and benefits\, staff relations management including grievance and policy compliance monitoring; \nAbility to apply and systematise human resource tools and functions in a not-for-profit/movement based organisational setting with feminist principles and ethics; \nHigh level organisational\, time management and leadership skills; \nExcellent command of English language\, both oral and written and demonstrated ability to write organisational policies and recommendations.    Proficiency in another language other than English is an asset; \nExcellent communications and interpersonal skills\, including negotiations and conflict resolutions skills; \nIn-depth understanding of the political\, economic and socio-cultural environments in the region is an asset; \nDemonstrated ability to work with a diverse\, membership driven network; \nProficient ICT skills – familiarity in using online shared platforms such as Google Suite and Dropbox is preferred; \nMust be able to travel overseas as required. \n  \nRemuneration \nSalary range commences at THB 51\,750 (equivalent of USD 1\,500) per month.
