SUMMARY:ASD16 Documentary Workshop for ASEAN Projects
DESCRIPTION:Submission Deadline: 11 September 2016 \nNine documentary projects from directors and producers residing in ASEAN and/or ASEAN nationals will be chosen to participate in a workshop to prepare the teams for pitching at Asian Side of the Doc\, a documentary market aimed to encourage international co-productions. Three internationally acclaimed trainers with extensive experience in international co-productions will be working with the teams to improve their proposal-writing\, marketing and pitching skills. \nThe trainers include Yves Jeanneau\, founder of Sunny Side of the Doc\, producer Amanda Groom (www.thebridge8.com) and author Edmée Milot (http://www.eleazarprod.com/). Through pitching in front of a live audience\, one of the nine projects will be chosen by a jury at the end of the workshop to attend Asian Side of the Doc in Bangkok in Oct 31st -Nov 3rd. \nProjects should have the following themes: \n\nDiscovery & Lifestyle\nArts & Culture\nNatural History & Wildlife\nHuman Interest & Social Issues\nHistory & Archeology\nGeopolitics & Environment\nScience & Knowledge\n\nApplications are open to Producers and Directors who are of ASEAN nationals or residing in ASEAN countries. \n\nSubmissions should be in English.\nSynopsis in English (300 words max)\nCompany and/or Team profile (500 characters spaces included)\nEither early project footage (max 3 minutes)\, or trailer (max. 5 GB and 3 minutes).
