On 12 March 2026 at 5.30–7.00 pm\, SEA Junction invites you to a book discussion to explore Southeast Asia’s rich and diverse cultural celebrations. Anita Bose’s new book Festivals of Southeast Asia takes you you on a vibrant journey through the most cherished festivals of Thailand\, Indonesia\, Burma\, Cambodia\, Laos\, and Vietnam.  It highlights how festivals across Southeast Asia reflect histories and local beliefs\, as well as longstanding cultural connections with India that continue to shape rituals\, symbols\, and community life. From religious observances to seasonal and community-based festivities\, the book offers insight into how traditions are practiced\, adapted\, and reinterpreted in contemporary societies. \nThe book launch to take place at SEA Junction\, features a presentation by the author\, followed by a conversation and Q&A session with the audience. The event will be conducted in English and livestreamed on SEA Junction Facebook Page (@SEA-Junction). \nAuthor’s Bio \nAnita Bose is a recognized author and independent researcher specializing in the civilizational and cultural ties between Southeast Asia and India. She is the author of the bestselling research book Ramayana Footprints in Southeast Asia and several other non-fictions works that explore Southeast Asian heritage\, Indian art\, and cultural connections.
