DESCRIPTION:On 21 August at 10.30 SEA Junction will host Ahmad Suaedy Commissioner at Ombudsman Republic of Indonesia\, Asian Pacific Intellectual Fellows of the Nippon Foundation and researcher at the Wahid Institute to discuss his recently published book “Islam\, Minorities and Identity in Southeast Asia”. \nThe book\, based on research conducted for more than a decade\, focuses on identity issues and politics in Southeast Asia and discusses Muslim minorities in mainland Southeast Asia and the Philippines and Singapore as well as other religious and ethnic minorities in Malaysia and Indonesia –the majority Muslim countries of the region Southeast Asiasea \nAhmad Suaedy is in Thailand to give a public lecture at Thammasat University in the afternoon of 21 August\, and is taking this occasion to also visit SEA junction and have more informal interaction with the Indonesian community and other interested parties (in English). \n \nFor information/reservation for our events please email southeastasiajunction@gmail.com or phone/wa: +66970024140 \nNB:\nEvents are broadcast on our FB page sea-junction\nEvents are free\, but donation most welcome! \nOrganizer: \nSEA Junction\, OUR Venue on Southeast Asia  \nSEA Junction aims to foster understanding and appreciation of Southeast Asia in all its socio-cultural dimensions –from arts and lifestyles to economy and development.
