SUMMARY:Monitoring and Evaluation in Migrant Health Public Program
DESCRIPTION:The training will take place on 22 – 27 May 2023 with a site-visit to Raks Thai Foundation in Samut Sakhon \nMahidol Migration Center-Joint Research Unit (MMC-JRU) is hosting the training together with the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD) and the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies (IHRP). The training is designed for graduate students who are interested in public health and M&E\, and professionals working in the development and humanitarian sectors. The instructors are primarily from the organizing institutes’ faculties\, with guest speakers from the Ministry of Public Health (Thailand)\, UNAIDS\, and Raks Thai Foundation. \nThis is on-site training (online participation is not allowed) and it will take place at the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (Mahidol University\, Salaya campus). \nParticipants in this training will be introduced to the essential ideas of monitoring and evaluation. The subject covers a variety of M&E-related topics\, from its fundamentals to the use of key indicators and measures to carry out evaluations for migrant public health programs. This training program aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge of project monitoring and evaluation and its practical application in public health programs for migrant communities in Southeast Asia. Thus\, the training will provide the participants with the necessary knowledge and abilities for monitoring and evaluating public health initiatives implemented by the Thai government and various non-governmental organizations. Participants will be able to increase their competence in areas like migrants’ access to public health initiatives for communicable diseases such as malaria\, TB\, HIV\, and non-communicable diseases throughout the course. \nThe course is intended for Master’s degree students (current and graduated)\, as well as for practitioners in public health initiatives and/or migrant rights. We welcome CSO and NGO\, staff applicants. At the end of the training\, there will be a site visit to a local non-governmental organization. The participants will learn about the operational practices used by local organizations in monitoring and assessing public health initiatives for migrants during this site visit. \nFor registration and more information here \nShare on FacebookTweetFollow usSave
