DESCRIPTION:The National Youth Film Awards (NYFA) is a national award that celebrates youths who have excelled across the various aspects of filmmaking – be it content creation and production\, script writing\, animation\, or screenplay writing. It seeks to instill a greater appreciation of independent films\, fuel the passion for filmmaking\, and generates opportunities for further development for these emerging talents by connecting them with industry partners and helping them gain greater visibility\, be it for festivals or commercial opportunities. \nNow in its 8th year\, NYFA 2022 returns with a spin on the numerical “8”\, representing the concept of “infinity”\, and a reflection of *SCAPE’s never-ending pursuit to provide opportunities and open up possibilities to aspiring youth filmmakers in Singapore. \nThe Student Category is open to: \n\n*Students 35 years old and below (born in 1987 and after) and currently enrolled in full-time\neducation in Singapore\n*Graduates (between 1 May 2021 and 13 May 2022) who produced their films while enrolled\nas a full-time student [Singaporean/PR or youth with a valid long-term pass (e.g. EP/SP/LTVP). Proof of identity for verification may be required and must be produced upon request.]\n\nThe Open Youth Category is open to: \n\nAny Singaporeans or PR 35 years old and below (born in 1987 and after) during the time of\n \nYouths 35 years old and below (born in 1987 and after) *residing in Singapore during the time of submission.*with a valid long-term pass (e.g. EP/SP/LTVP).
