DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to share that we have an awesome opportunity for young media personnel in Southeast Asia! \nFor the next few months\, Climate Tracker will be working with journalists from Indonesia\, Malaysia\, the Philippines\, Vietnam\, and Thailand to collectively conduct a Southeast Asia-wide study on how coal is covered by the region’s biggest media. \nThis is an amazing chance to get cutting-edge online training on Media Research\, receive one-on-one mentorship\, and gain professional experience with a 3 month paid research opportunity! \nTHE OPPORTUNITY \nClimate Tracker is currently looking for participants with media experience from Indonesia\, Vietnam\, Malaysia\, Thailand\, and the Philippines for our exciting new Media Research opportunity! \nYou’ll receive two weeks of cutting-edge training and mentorship\, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of media analysis\, before leveraging your contacts for a national media analysis. \nThe best students from the course will be selected for a 3 month paid research opportunity to collectively analyze the media coverage of coal and energy in the region. \nThe research analysis will be published as a co-authored handbook and distributed to leading publications and organizations in Southeast Asia in September. \nHERE’S WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY! \nThis opportunity is a great chance to gain free online training to master your media research skills and experience. \nSelected participants will work alongside the Climate Tracker team and receive a generous allowance throughout the programme. \nYou’ll also get the chance to engage directly with some of the biggest environmental and climate change-related organizations\, experts\, and publications in the region! \nLast but certainly not least: Get your work published into a book\, with your name printed as a co-author! \nWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? \n\nThose with at least 1-2 years media or comms experience.\nResearch experience and experience in the environmental field is a bonus\nMust be living in:\nThe Philippines\nIndonesia\nVietnam\nThailand\nMalaysia\nAre 23-35 years old when applying.\nAble to speak\, understand\, and analyze in both their national language and English\nApplicants with full-time jobs are most welcome!
