SUMMARY:Thai-Regional Studies: Key Trends in ASEAN Research
DESCRIPTION:The opening of AEC has given rise to a number of activities about ASEAN\, including academic activities in the fields of Thai and area studies. In September 2014\, the research and academic service support unit at the Center for ASEAN Studies\, School of Liberal Arts\, Walailak University\, organized a workshop on “Reviewing Research Schemes and Knowledge on ASEAN.” As a follow-up to this successful workshop\, the Center for ASEAN Studies\, Walailak University\, and our co-organizer\, the Center for ASEAN Studies\, Chiang Mai University\, will host a one-day conference on the theme of Thai-Regional Studies: Key Trends in ASEAN Research\, to promote the sharing of ideas and insights from recent academic developments on the region\, drawing from diverse bodies of knowledge in the social sciences and humanities. \nThe organizers also aim to strengthen the research frameworks and skills of young scholars\, junior lecturers\, and graduate students so that they can help to better understand Thai-ASEAN Studies Integration. Toward this end\, we are inviting experts and academics from distinguished organizations and institutes to share their knowledge and experiences during the conference. \nDuring the conference\, SEA Junction will discuss a possible memorandum of understanding between the Center for ASEAN Studies\, School of Liberal Arts\, Walailak University\, and the Center for ASEAN Studies\, Chiang Mai University.\n\nProgram \n \nShare on FacebookTweetFollow usSave
