SUMMARY:UNSW ASEAN Conference 2020
DESCRIPTION:The Association of Southeast Asian Nations is a regional intergovernmental organization comprising ten Southeast Asian countries populated by more than 622 million people with the third-largest labor force in the world by 2050. However\, issues and criticism toward ASEAN’s performance in confronting contentious problems have encouraged and empower the youth to engage and directly involved in a discussion forum. Therefore\, the UNSW ASEAN Conference (UAC) established to bring together those who are passionate about igniting change in ASEAN for a brighter future. \nThe inaugural UNSW ASEAN Conference 2020 utilizes a live webinar from the world-class speaker and panel discussions – to provide a platform and unrivaled opportunity that allow the participant to engage in a discussion forum and build trans-international knowledge exchange. \nIn response to Covid-19\, the change of the annual conference to a virtual format will allow a broader audience to participate in the discourse concerning the economic\, political\, and sociocultural developments in ASEAN. \nJoin us\, as we explore new insights about ASEAN. Experience a conference in a setting where still small voice can be clearly heard\, felt\, and understood. \nFree full access to our 3-days event featuring speakers from various countries. \nKeynote speakers included: Melissa Crouch\, Adam Brimo\, Renard Siew. \nThe conference will feature multiple topics from three streams over three days: \nDay 1 : Sociocultural (10th October) \n\nCultural and religious diversity: risk and benefits\nDigital learning\, health\, and literacy\nHuman rights and equal opportunities\n\nDay 2 : Economics (17th October) \n\nClimate change and economic prosperity\nLeveraging technology to empower informal economies\nWinners and losers of the COVID-19 pandemic\n\nDay 3 : Political-security (24th October) \n\nASEAN regionalism amid US-China rivalry\nCyberthreats: non-traditional security issues in ASEAN\nPeople\, power\, and politics\n\n  \nSource: https://www.unswaseanconference.com/ \nShare on FacebookTweetFollow usSave
