DESCRIPTION:Inaugurated in 1982\, the annual art competition is the longest-running in Singapore and one of the most recognized in Southeast Asia. \nHeld in Indonesia\, Malaysia\, Singapore and Thailand\, the competition aims to uncover the next generation of great Southeast Asian artists\, and contribute to greater awareness and appreciation of art. \nThe competition is divided into two categories: \n\nEstablished Artist Category: The Established Artist Category is open to experienced professionals with a strong portfolio of work. You have shown your paintings in solo or group exhibitions (excluding school graduation shows); represented by a gallery or achieved recognition through art awards.\nEmerging Artist Category: The Emerging Artist Category is open to aspiring artists. You could be pursuing an art education; taking your first steps to a career in art; or simply paint for pleasure.\n\nParticipants may enter their artwork in only one of the two categories.
