SUMMARY:[CANCELED] Workshop on Writing for Research and Advocacy in Bangkok by the Tea Leaf Center
DESCRIPTION:On 31 March – 3 April\, the Tea Leaf Center will hold the “Specialized Writing Workshop for Research and Advocacy” at SEA Junction.  Throughout these intensive sessions\, participants will be guided through and learn the basic on how to produce influential strong and clear paragraph\, executive summaries\, case studies\, opinion pieces and other persuasive writings. \nThe course is designed specifically for interested individuals who currently work in non-governmental organizations\, or seek to enhance their writing ability to assist in their research works. \nCourse requirements:  \n\nEnough English skill to express about your work\nWorking/Volunteering for NGO\, CSO or CBO in Thailand\nYou will use what you learn at work\n\nHow the course is taught?  \n\nEach class consists of a mixture of lectures\, exercises and peer review.\nEach day you will be assigned a homework for the next day.\nYou will be providing feedbacks among the participants.\n\nTime commitment: 5 classes (each three-hour long) and 1 writing assignment per day. \nWorkshop fee: THB 6000 for the whole program. \nFull/Partial scholarship maybe available. \nIf you are interested and would like to participate in the program\, please email your name\, organization and current position and why you want to join the class to: \ninfo@thetealeafcenter.org   \nSource: The Tea Leaf Center \nOrganizers \nThe Tea Leaf Center\, Who Researches Matters \nThe Tea Leaf Center aims to promote an idea of “research for development” by transitioning research away from reliance on foreign experts and increasing the role of local researchers by providing writing courses and tailored-made research training.
