SUMMARY:Workshop: Our Collections Matter
DESCRIPTION:If selected\, you will participate in bi-monthly online workshops throughout 2022 to learn more about sustainable development\, Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). \nWe will guide you in setting related aspirations and identifying associated challenges\, then help you select tools from the Our Collections Matter Toolkit to address them. \nBetween workshops\, you will make use of these tools in your own work and institution. The activities you undertake will depend on you and your local context. As the programme develops\, you will get to share your experiences with other participants from around the world. \nUp to 20 diverse collections-based organizations will be selected to participate. The workshops will be in English\, with discussion time to help you learn from each another. \nSelected organizations will not be required to pay any fee. \nEligibilty \nThis opportunity is open to anyone working in collections-based institutions of all sizes\, including museums\, libraries and archives. \nNo prior knowledge of sustainable development is necessary\, but you should be committed to directing your work and the activities of your institution towards creating a better future for everyone. \nThat includes upholding the principles of Agenda 2030 and the SDGs\, with their focus on people\, planet\, prosperity\, peace and partnership. \nHow to apply \nPlease fill out the application form and send it to collectionsmatter@iccrom.org \nThe deadline to apply is 31 March 2022. \nExpectations\nSuccessful applicants will be expected to: \n\nparticipate in bi-monthly online workshops\nmake use of relevant tools within the Our Collections Matter Toolkit over the course of 2022\nsummarize their experiences in a format provided\, including the aspirations or challenges addressed\, the tools used\, and the outcomes achieved.\nhave the collections-based organization they work for endorse their participation in the programme.\n\nSelection criteria\nParticipants will be selected to represent a range of: \n\ncountries and regions\ncollection types\ninstitution types\ncollections-related activities\nsocial\, economic and environmental aspirations and/or challenges\n\nSource: https://www.iccrom.org/news/apply-take-part-workshops-and-field-projects-our-collections-matter \nShare on FacebookTweetFollow usSave
