SUMMARY:[CANCELED] Workshop on Writing for Research and Advocacy in Bangkok by the Tea Leaf Center
DESCRIPTION:On 31 March – 3 April\, the Tea Leaf Center will hold the “Specialized Writing Workshop for Research and Advocacy” at SEA Junction.  Throughout these intensive sessions\, participants will be guided through and learn the basic on how to produce influential strong and clear paragraph\, executive summaries\, case studies\, opinion pieces and other persuasive writings. \nThe course is designed specifically for interested individuals who currently work in non-governmental organizations\, or seek to enhance their writing ability to assist in their research works. \nCourse requirements:  \n\nEnough English skill to express about your work\nWorking/Volunteering for NGO\, CSO or CBO in Thailand\nYou will use what you learn at work\n\nHow the course is taught?  \n\nEach class consists of a mixture of lectures\, exercises and peer review.\nEach day you will be assigned a homework for the next day.\nYou will be providing feedbacks among the participants.\n\nTime commitment: 5 classes (each three-hour long) and 1 writing assignment per day. \nWorkshop fee: THB 6000 for the whole program. \nFull/Partial scholarship maybe available. \nIf you are interested and would like to participate in the program\, please email your name\, organization and current position and why you want to join the class to: \ninfo@thetealeafcenter.org   \nSource: The Tea Leaf Center \nOrganizers \nThe Tea Leaf Center\, Who Researches Matters \nThe Tea Leaf Center aims to promote an idea of “research for development” by transitioning research away from reliance on foreign experts and increasing the role of local researchers by providing writing courses and tailored-made research training. DESCRIPTION:Are you an organisation engaging in the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (BPFA) 25-year review and follow-up? Do you think that some voices have been marginalised and sidelined in these processes? If you answered with a yes\, this call is for you! \nThe Claiming Our Voices: Beijing+25 Review and Follow-up grant programme seeks to amplify Asian women and  trans* communities’ voices in global discussions during the review and follow-up processes for the 25 years of implementation of the BPFA. It supports feminist movements’ actions to hold governments and other stakeholders accountable so they make tangible commitments on gender equality. With an aim to build a larger understanding on the processes and outcomes of the Generation Equality Forums\, Women’s Fund Asia will also support strengthening the networks of knowledge and information\, creation of sub-national\, national\, sub-regional spaces\, and other learning initiatives through this programme.  \nThis grantmaking programme is in collaboration with our sister funds Urgent Action Fund and Urgent Action Fund – Africa with the support of the Gates Foundation. \nWho is eligible for the call? \nWomen and trans* rights groups\, organisations and networks from 17 countries working at the national level are eligible to apply for this call.
