DESCRIPTION:ASEASUK is offering bursaries to members to support research and impact activities in Southeast Asian Studies. The awards are available for travel and related expenses for activities taking place between 1 July 2017 to 31 July 2018.\nPermissible activities include: \n\nfieldwork in SE Asia or key sites in the diaspora;\nresearch visits to important regional archives\, museums\, collections\, exhibitions or performances (concerning but not necessarily located in SE Asia);\na visit for collaborative writing or artistic practice with an academic or practitioner colleague from another institution in SE Asia;\ndelivery of a paper at a regional academic conference;\ndelivery of a paper to an academic or practitioner audience based on research previously conducted on/in the region.\n\nAwards available: \n\nThree Postgraduate Bursaries (PhD\, MPhil or MRes students)\, up to £1000 each\nOne Early Career Award\, up to £1500\nOne Senior Award\, up to £2500\n\nApplication deadline: 30 April 2017. Fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis to qualified candidates under the auspices of the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Program\, subject to the availability of funding. \nDeadline: June 1\, 2017\nThe Fulbright Program was established in 1946 by the U.S. Congress as a means “to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.” For more than sixty years the Fulbright Program has provided opportunities for foreign nationals to study\, teach\, and pursue research in the U.S.\nTo be eligible\, applicants must: \n\nHave a strong academic background and a record of excellence in previous studies;\nHave completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university for those applying to study in the U.S. for a Master’s degree program\, or have a Master’s degree from a recognized college or university for those applying to study in the U.S. for a Doctoral program;\nBe proficient in English (a minimum score of 570 on TOEFL or TOEFL ITP\, or 230 on computer-based TOEFL\, or 88 on internet based TOEFL\, or 7.0 on IELTS);\nDemonstrate the ability to adapt readily to a foreign environment;\nBe in good health and able to undergo a rigorous study program; and\nNot have extensive experience living or studying in the United States.\n\nFulbright Student Fellowship grants provide round-trip transportation to the United States\, as well as tuition fees\, and living expenses for full-time graduate study. DESCRIPTION:\n\nDEADLINE : 10 January 2018 for INDONESIAN and 30 December for FOREIGNER\nParticipants : 72 youth\nCountries : 56 countries\nArts Center : West Sumatera\, Yogyakarta\, East Java\, Bali\, South Sulawesi\, and East Kalimantan\n \n\nIndonesian Arts and Culture Scholarship (IACS) is an annual scholarship organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs\, Republic of Indonesia. IACS aims to introduce Indonesian arts and culture to the world’s youth by providing learning facilities such as dance classes\, gamelan (traditional instruments)\, batik\, painting\, museums\, nature tourism\, traditional food\, etc.\n \nFirst arrival\, each participant will follow an orientation program in Jakarta for one week\, then the organizer will choose Arts Center where the participants will learn for 3 months. The Arts Center for year of 2018 consists of West Sumatra\, Yogyakarta\, East Java\, Bali\, South Sulawesi\, East Kalimantan.\n \nDuring 3 months participants will be trained and introduced to the local culture\, all participants will display their learning outcomes in a stage work of INDONESIA CHANNEL that will be held in West Sumatra (Padang). This scholarship will give you an unforgettable experience and family.\n \nSCHOLARSHIP COVERAGE\n\nTuition fee (including extra-curricular activities);\nA round trip economy class ticket;\nAccommodation (board and lodging);\nLocal transportation during program;\nHealth insurance (limited).
