SEA Junction, under the operation of the Foundation for Southeast Asia Studies, is a knowledge center and public venue on Southeast Asia, which is located at the Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre (BACC). SEA Junction aims to foster understanding and appreciation of the region in all its realities and socio-cultural dimensions –from arts and craft to the economy and development– by enhancing public access to knowledge resources and by promoting exchanges (see further www.seajunction.org)

As our activities expand, there is a need for an additional staff who is able to work in a flexible manner in a small office with a multicultural environment and a variety of needs.

Working duration: 2 years with possibility of extension and promotion to Program Manager

Working Days and Hours: 40 hours / 5 days / week

Opening Days and Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10.00 AM – 7.00 PM or 11.00 AM – 8 PM

Reporting: The Program Officer will work under the supervision of the Director and in collaboration with other staffs

Salary: According to experience and Thai non-profit average salaries

The successful applicant will be expected to:

  • Contribute to SEA Junction programs and their promotion
  • Manage projects and develop proposals
  • Plan activities and monthly agenda
  • Manage small-grant program and other special initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with program administration and purchasing guidelines.
  • Curate exhibition(s)
  • Assist in the promotion of events through relevant networks and media.
  • Interact with donors and partners as needed
  • Assist in other functions as needed

The successful candidate should have the following skills & experience:

  • BA in a relevant field (MA considered as an asset)
  • Knowledge of Southeast Asia considered as an asset
  • Demonstrated work experience
  • English proficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva and social media platforms (Basic design skill considered as an asset)
  • Willingness to perform a variety of tasks
  • Ability to work autonomously in a multi-cultural environment
  • Thai nationality or resident of Thailand
