วันที่ 14 มีนาคมของทุกปี ถูกกำหนดให้เป็น วันปฏิบัติการเพื่อแม่น้ำสากล หรือ วันหยุดเขื่อนโลก (International Day of Actions for Rivers : Against Dams) โดยในปีนี้ทั่วโลกใช้ #OurRiversOurFuture ในช่วงวันหยุดเขื่อนโลกนี้ เพื่อเป็นการเริ่มต้นสัปดาห์แห่งกิจกรรมนี้ International Rivers ร่วมกับ SEA Junction และองกรณ์ภาคีเครือข่ายจึงร่วมจัดงานเสวนาถึงผลกระทบของการสร้างเขื่อนและความสำคัญของการตระหนักรู้ถึงผลกระทบของเขื่อนในปัจจุบัน รวมไปถึงการร่วมกันหาทางออกให้กับการผลิตพลังงานในอนาคต โดยงานเสวนานี้จะจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 11 มีนาคม 2568 ตั้งแต่เวลา 15.00 – 17.00 น. ที่ SEA Junction ห้อง 407 – 8 ชั้น 4 หอศิลป์กรุงเทพ และมีการถ่ายทอดสดบนเพจ JustPow และ SEA Junction แม้ประเด็นเรื่องการสร้างเขื่อนจะถูกพูดถึงมานานทั้งในแง่ความคุ้มทุนในกรณีของเขื่อนผลิตกระแสไฟฟ้า หรือในแง่ผลกระทบทางสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เกิดขึ้น โดยเฉพาะบนแม่น้ำโขงสายประธานที่มีเขื่อนทั้งจากประเทศจีนและลาวรวมกันกว่า 10 แห่ง และมีแนวโน้มที่จะสร้างเพิ่มภายใต้…
