ในห้วงเวลาที่สังคมยังมีช่องว่างและความแตกต่างทางข้อเท็จจริงและความคิดสูง บางประเด็นที่เกิดขึ้นในสังคมอาจถูกขยายผลจนนำไปสู่วิกฤตการณ์ หากไร้ซึ่งเวทีในการพูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยน ทางความคิดสำหรับทุกฝ่ายที่เกี่ยวข้อง ในขณะที่ทำหน้าที่บอกกล่าวและให้แรงบันดาลใจกับผู้คนในสังคม สื่อมวลชนสามารถมีบทบาท ช่วยอํานวยความสะดวกการพูดคุยและสร้างความรู้ความเข้าใจในเรื่องที่เกิดขึ้น เป็นเสมือน “สะพานเชื่อม” เพื่อประสานช่องว่างและความแตกต่างทางข้อเท็จจริง พร้อมๆ กับเชื่อมร้อย ประเด็นที่กระจัดกระจายเข้าด้วยกัน จนเกิดเป็นภาพใหญ่เพื่อความเข้าใจที่ดีขึ้นในสังคม โดยการสนับสนุนของมูลนิธิคอนราด อาเดนาวร์ สำนักงานประเทศไทย (Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) Thailand Office) และความร่วมมือกับองค์กรพันธมิตร สำนักข่าว Bangkok Tribune ร่วมกับ Decode.plus (Thai PBS), SEA Junction, และชมรมนักข่าวสิ่งแวดล้อม จัดเวทีเสวนาประจำเดือนภายใต้โครงการ “Dialogue Forum” เพื่อเป็นพื้นที่พูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลข้อเท็จจริง รวมทั้งความคิดเห็นต่างๆ ของทุกฝ่ายใน ประเด็นที่กำลังอยู่ในความสนใจของสังคม โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง ประเด็นเชิงนโยบายทางด้าน สังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อม ทั้งนี้ เพื่อช่วยสร้างความรู้ความเข้าใจในประเด็นดังกล่าว เพื่อนำไปสู่ การตัดสินใจเชิงนโยบายที่ดีขึ้น COP29 (การประชุมรัฐภาคีกรอบอนุสัญญาสหประชาชาติว่าด้วยการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ สมัยที่ 29, UNFCCC COP 29) ก่อให้เกิดความขัดแย้งนับตั้งแต่วันแรกที่มีการประชุม  โดยเหตุผลประการแรก เนื่องมาจากสถานที่จัดการประชุมตั้งอยู่ในประเทศอาเซอร์ไบจาน ซึ่งเป็นผู้ส่งออกน้ำมันรายใหญ่อันดับที่ 18 ของโลก และผู้ผลิตน้ำมันรายใหญ่อันดับที่ 24 ประการที่สอง การประชุมนี้ได้รับการคาดหวังอย่างสูงตั้งแต่วันแรกว่า รัฐภาคีฯ จะสามารถตกลง กันได้ในเรื่องการปรับเปลี่ยนหรือหาสิ่งทดแทน “การเงินเพื่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ” (Climate Finance) ซึ่งยังคงมีความคลุมเครือนับตั้งแต่ถือกำเนิดขึ้นใน COP15 ในปี 2552 ความพยายามทางการเงินครั้งใหม่นี้ทำให้การประชุม COP29 นี้ถูกขนานนามว่าเป็น “COP ทางการเงิน”…
