พื้นที่สามจังหวัดชายแดนใต้เป็นพื้นที่ที่มีสถานการณ์ความรุนแรงต่อเนื่องกันมาเป็นระยะเวลากว่า 19 ปี มีผู้ได้รับบาดเจ็บมากกว่า 13,000 คน และมีผู้เสียชีวิตรวมแล้วกว่า 7,200 คน จากเหตุความรุนแรงที่เกิดขึ้นในพื้นที่กว่า 21,000 ครั้ง นำมาซึ่งการบังคับใช้กฎหมายพิเศษมากถึง 3 ฉบับที่ไม่ได้แก้ไขสถานการณ์ แต่กลับละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชนของผู้คนในพื้นที่ ซึ่งประชากรโดยส่วนใหญ่เป็นชาวมุสลิมเชื้อสายมลายูและรองลงมาเป็นชาวพุทธ คริสต์ ตลอดจนถึงแรงงานข้ามชาติ สถานการณ์ที่ยืดเยื้อมาเป็นเวลานานทำให้ภาพลักษณ์ของพื้นที่กลายเป็นพื้นที่ขัดแย้งรุนแรงและอันตรายในสายตาของรัฐไทยรวมถึงประชาชนนอกพื้นที่ อีกด้านหนึ่ง ท่ามกลางความท้าทายของสถานการณ์ในพื้นที่ ผู้คนจำนวนมากยังคงใช้ชีวิตกันอย่างสงบและสันติ ดำเนินกิจวัตรประจำวันตามวิถีชีวิต โครงการภาพถ่ายโดยยศธร ไตรยศ มุ่งนำเสนอ "ความจริงคู่ขนาน" ดังกล่าว ด้วยการสนับสนุนจากองค์กรสิทธิมนุษยชนเพื่อชนกลุ่มน้อยระหว่างประเทศและสหภาพยุโรป โครงการใช้ภาพถ่ายเป็นเครื่องมือในการบอกเล่าวิถีชีวิตและวัฒนธรรมของผู้คน โดยใช้มิติทางมานุษยวิทยาและสังคมวิทยาผ่านมุมมองของห้องนั่งเล่นที่เป็นทั้งพื้นที่ทางวัฒนธรรมและพื้นที่ทางจิตวิญาณที่บ่งบอกอัตลักษณ์ของชาติพันธุ์มลายูในพื้นที่สามจังหวัดชายแดนใต้   นิทรรศการภาพถ่าย “The Deep Places in the Deep South”  จะจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 19 กันยายน – 1 ตุลาคม 2566 ณ ผนังโค้ง ชั้น 4 หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร นิทรรศการจัดโดย SEA Junction และ Realframe นำเสนอชุดภาพดังกล่าวและตั้งคำถามถึงการมีอยู่ของผู้คนธรรมดาภายใต้พื้นที่ที่ถูกมองว่าพิเศษ ตลอดจนเปิดมุมมองใหม่นอกเหนือไปจากเรื่องราวของความรุนแรงที่ถูกนำเสนอผ่านสื่อกระแสหลักอย่างต่อเนื่องจนกลายเป็นภาพจำที่คลาดเคลื่อนของคนนอกที่มีต่อพื้นที่ งานเสวนาซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของนิทรรศการจะจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 24 กันยายน 2566 เวลา 17.00-18.30 น. ที่ SEA Junction โดยมีผู้ร่วมเสวนาได้แก่ ยศธร ไตรยศ ช่างภาพนิทรรศการ, อัญชนา หีมมิหน๊ะ ประธานกลุ่มด้วยใจ และงามศุกร์ รัตนเสถียร อาจารย์สถาบันสิทธิมนุษยชนและสันติศึกษา…
