SEA Junction และ สำนักพิมพ์ซิลค์เวอร์ม (Silkworm Books) จัดงานเสวนาหนังสือ “ประวัติศาสตร์จีนหลังเหมา” ในหัวข้อเรื่อง “จีนกับเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้” บรรยายโดยผู้เขียน วาสนา วงศ์สุรวัฒน์ งานจัดวันที่ 17 มกราคม 2566 เวลา 17.00-18.30 น. ณ SEA Junction ชั้น 4 หอศิลปกรุงเทพฯ คำนำหนังสือ ทำไมต้องหลังเหมา? และควรจะเรียกว่าเป็นประวัติศาสตร์จีน “หลังเติ้ง” มากกว่าหรือไม่? เมื่อเติ้ง เสี่ยวผิง ขึ้นเป็นผู้นำสูงสุดแห่งสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนและประกาศนโยบายปฏิรูปและเปิดประเทศในปี ค.ศ. 1978 นั้นประเทศจีนได้เปลี่ยนไปเป็นคนละประเทศโดยสิ้นเชิงจากสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนในยุคที่เหมา เจ๋อตง เป็นผู้นำสูงสุด เติ้งนำเศรษฐกิจจีนเข้าสู่ตลาดโลกและเปิดรับการค้าการลงทุนจากต่างประเทศทุกประเทศโดยไม่จำกัดอุดมการณ์ทางการเมือง ยกเว้นทุกประเทศที่จะค้าขายกับจีนต้องยอมรับในอุดมการณ์จีน รัฐบาลพรรคคอมมิวนิสต์จีนหันมาส่งเสริมให้ประชาชนทำธุรกิจ ส่งเสริมการเติบโตของนายทุนแดงซึ่งกลายมาเป็นผู้ขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจจีนให้มีความสามารถในการแข่งขันบนเวทีโลกได้ในทศวรรษ 1990–2000 ทั้งหมดนี้แตกต่างจากยุคเหมาหน้ามือเป็นหลังมือ แต่ในทางหลักการมิได้เปลี่ยนแปลงมากในสมัยผู้นำคนต่อๆ มาไม่ว่าจะเป็นเจียง เจ๋อหมิน หู จิ่นเทา หรือสี จิ้นผิง ไม่ได้มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงในเชิงโครงสร้างมากถึงขั้นที่จะเปลี่ยนไปเป็นอีกประเทศหนึ่ง หนังสือเล่มนี้ว่า ประวัติศาสตร์จีนหลังเหมา และผู้เขียนได้เลือกจบยุค “หลังเหมา” นี้พร้อมกับการอุบัติขึ้นของโรคระบาดเชื้อไวรัสโคโรนาสายพันธุ์ใหม่ 2019 (COVID-19) ผู้เขียนและผู้บรรยาย วาสนา วงศ์สุรวัฒน์ เป็นอาจารย์ประจำภาควิชาประวัติศาสตร์ คณะอักษรศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย (พ.ศ. 2551–ปัจจุบัน) เป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านประวัติศาสตร์จีนและประวัติศาสตร์จีนโพ้นทะเล มีประสบการณ์การศึกษาและวิจัยตั้งแต่ระดับปริญญาตรีถึงหลังปริญญาเอกในสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน สาธารณรัฐจีน และเขตปกครองพิเศษฮ่องกง ตั้งแต่ยุคเจียง เจ๋อหมิน ถึงยุคสี จิ้นผิง มีผลงานตีพิมพ์ The Crown and…

The 1st of February 2023 marks the second anniversary of military dictatorship in Myanmar. Since the coup, people have suffered under the repressive military rule in a collapsed state.
