Established in 1972 at Northern Illinois University by Dr. Clark D. Neher and Dr. Ladd Thomas, COTS was envisioned as a laboratory for scholars and students engaged in the study of Thailand to assemble and exchange ideas, share their research, and advance knowledge on Thailand.
