Dear Partners and Friends of SEA Junction,

October is turning out to be a month filled with diverse and stimulating events. The month starts with the continuation of the BACC Pop-Up exhibition and the Bangkok Climate Action week, followed by a new documentary on art activism for Myanmar and reading sessions on Southeast Asia literature, before ending with events on the recent demonstrations in Indonesia, Philippines and Timor Leste spurred by similar concerns against authoritarianism, socio-economic inequity and corruption. Our Mini Books and Crafts Fair and #WhatsHappeninginMyanmar update will continue to enrich the program as usual.

We hope you find our programs of interest. We count on your participation and help in sharing this information with your network and hope in your support (see below). SEA Junction relies on community members like you to be able to maintain our venue and continue our work at a time when civic spaces and resources for civil society are curtailed all over the world.

Warmly,
Lia Sciortino Sumaryono

Questioning happens when non-violent leaders are pushed to support armed struggle against a brutal regime in a forgotten war?
