Australia-ASEAN Muslim Exchange Program (AAMEP)
12 April, 2019 - 14 April, 2019
Young Muslim leaders (aged 23-40) from Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines are invited to apply for the first Australia-ASEAN Muslim Exchange Program (AAMEP) at bit.ly/aseanmep19
The AAMEP is a people-to-people community-based exchange program for emerging Muslim leaders in Australia and ASEAN, designed to foster friendship, understanding and cooperation between the people of Australia and ASEAN, with a particular focus on the Muslim communities of our region. The AAMEP is supported by the Australia-ASEAN Council of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Successful delegates will travel to Australia in September 2019 for an intensive ten-day program of dialogue, intellectual and cultural exchange, including meetings with major religious organisations, universities, community groups, non-government organisations, media and fellow Muslim Exchange Program alumni.
Emerging community leaders such as individuals involved in non-government organisations, charities, mosques, Islamic schools, universities, as well as authors, artists and academics are encouraged to apply.
