Epigram Books and Storytel are pleased to announce the creation of a S$10,000 annual short story competition for horror stories. The winning short story will receive S$3,000, with S$2,000 going to the second-best entry and S$1,000 to the third. Eight other entries on the shortlist will receive S$500 each. All eleven winning submissions will be published in an anthology to be issued by Epigram Books by the end of the year. The individual stories will be released as audiobooks by Storytel earlier and will be available on the platform globally for over 1.8 Million subscribers.
“We are delighted to provide the platform to award Singapore literary excellence in the horror genre with the sponsorship of Storytel. It’s time for more writers to showcase their stories,” says publisher of Epigram Books, Edmund Wee.
