Lecture: Ceramic Treasures of Thailand
26 August, 2020
The USC Museum finally brings you the second lecture, “Ceramic Treasures of Thailand” with Atthasit Sukkham, Assistant Curator of the Southeast Asian Ceramics Museum of Bangkok University. Discover the museum’s impressive collection of Thai tradewares.
Thai ceramics were traded in Cebu in the 15th-16th centuries. In fact, Pigafetta wrote that four days before the arrival of the Magellanic fleet, a boat from Ciama (Thailand today) had departed from Sugbu carrying with it gold and slaves.
Happening on 26 August 2020, Wednesday at 11AM (Philippine Time) via FB Live on USC Museum’s FB Page.
