The Malay Archipelago Archaeology Conference

Malay archipelago, also called the island Southeast Asia, covers the countries of Indonesia, East Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, East Timor and the Philippines. The Malay Archipelago Archaeology Conference will be held in Penang, Malaysia with a theme of Connecting People Through History. We hope to bring together various distinguished expertise in archaeology throughout island Southeast Asia and provide a platform for the dissemination, discussion and debate of ideas. Apart from knowing first hand our heritage of the region, it is also an excellent opportunity for networking, socialising and bridging future collaborations.
Malay Archipelago Archaeology Conference aims to bring together scholars in the fields of prehistorical malay archipelago, archaeozoology, historical malay archipelago, ethnoarchaeology, heritage management, archaeotourism, linguistics, maritime archaeology and archaeological sciences, to discuss and offer inputs into existing and contemporary archaeological issues in Malay archipelago.
