SEAChange: Cyanotype Workshop and Mini Exhibition
26 April, 2025 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
SEA Junction, in collaboration with S.O.S Project, will be hosting a cyanotype workshop and mini exhibition on 26 April 2025 on 1.30 pm – 4.30 pm at our venue cantered on ocean conservation. Given that over 25% of global trade passes through Southeast Asia’s critical sea lanes, it is urgent to reflect on the unseen impacts of this trade.
The workshop, conducted in English, invites participants to explore their relationship with our seas and water resources through a multisensory experience that brings art, activism and science together. Artist Ruwanthi Gajadeera will be encouraging participants to create their own cyanotype poster, a special dye that uses sunlight to create a shadow impression onto a medium, with ocean waste to raise awareness of ocean conservation, and reimagine a more hopeful future for the ocean.
Key activities will include:
- Guided exploration of the Multimodal, immersive mini exhibition
- Creation of a personalized take-home cyanotype poster
- Reflective discussion and art-science activity
The workshop fee is 500 THB/person and it includes materials and guided immersive experience.
