ขอเชิญร่วมงานเปิดตัวหนังสือ "การเดินทางของสายรุ้งของเรน" (Rain’s Rainbow Journey) หนังสือภาพที่ไม่มีคำบรรยาย (wordless) ซึ่งได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากเรื่องจริงของแมวจรจัดตัวหนึ่งชื่อเรน งานเปิดตัวหนังสือในครั้งนี้ จะจัดขึ้นที่ SEA Junction ห้อง 407-8 ชั้น 4 ศูนย์ศิลปวัฒนธรรมกรุงเทพฯ (BACC) ในวันที่ 21 มิถุนายน เวลา 15.00 – 17.00. กว่า 10 ปีที่ประชาชนได้ร่วมกันรณรงค์กฎหมายสมรสเท่าเทียม โดยเริ่มต้นในปี 2555 เมื่อคู่รักเกย์และคู่รักหญิงรักหญิงเดินทางไปจดทะเบียนสมรสที่สำนักงานเขต แต่กลับถูกปฏิเสธ เหตุการณ์นั้นเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของการเคลื่อนไหวทางสังคมที่นำไปสู่การเดินขบวน ชุมนุม การเสวนา มากกว่า 100 ครั้ง และการลงชื่อกว่า 300,000 รายชื่อสนับสนุนการแก้ไขประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพานิชย์มาตรา 1448 ทำให้กฎหมายสมรสเท่าเทียมถือเป็นหนึ่งในกฎหมายที่มีการมีส่วนร่วมจากประชาชนมากที่สุดเท่าที่ประเทศไทยเคยมีมา ไม่เพียงแต่คนไทยเท่านั้นที่มีส่วนร่วมและเป็นประจักษ์พยาน แมวจรตัวหนึ่งก็เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการเคลื่อนไหวนี้ด้วยเช่นกัน. หนังสือภาพนี้ ถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวของ เรน แมวจรจัดในย่านอารีย์ ที่ถูกนักกิจกรรมรับเลี้ยงในคืนฝนพรำ ผู้ที่ได้กลายเป็นประจักษ์พยานสำคัญในการเดินทางประวัติศาสตร์นี้ เรนมองเห็นทุกความสัมพันธ์ รอยยิ้ม และน้ำตาของผู้คนในขบวนการเพื่อความเสมอภาคนี้ หนังสือเล่มนี้ถ่ายทอดขบวนการเคลื่อนไหวเพื่อสิทธิสมรสเท่าเทียมผ่านเทคนิค Wordless หรือผ่านภาพประกอบที่เต็มไปด้วยรายละเอียดโดยไม่มีคำบรรยาย ผู้อ่านสามารถอ่านภาพและผูกเรื่องราวตามจิตนาการได้ไม่รู้จบ สามารถอ่านซ้ำได้หลายครั้ง ทุกครั้งที่อ่าน ผู้อ่านจะเข้าใจเนื้อเรื่องเปลี่ยนไปตามประสบการณ์ที่ได้รับ หนังสือภาพโดยไม่มีถ้อยคำเล่มนี้มุ่งเน้นที่จะบันทึกประวัติศาสตร์ของประชาชนโดยก้าวผ่านข้ามกำแพงภาษาให้คนทุกชนชาติได้เข้าถึงเรื่องราวเหล่านี้ เขียนเรื่องโดย จิราเจต วิเศษดอนหวาย นามปากกา "เจิดจ้า" ที่ปรึกษาคณะกรรมาธิการแก้ไขประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพาณิชย์มาตรา 1448 (สมรสเท่าเทียม) ภาคประชาชน และวาดโดย ชญานิศ สิริไพบูลย์พงศ์ นักวาดภาพประกอบผู้ได้รับการเสนอชื่อในรางวัล Yogo BEFTA Student Award ปี…
