Brief Description
The book “Belittled Citizens: The Cultural Politics of Childhood on Bangkok’s Margins” was launched on 28 December at 5:00 pm. The author Giuseppe Bolotta presented his book exploring the intersection between Thai politics, urban poverty, religion, and global humanitarianism from the perspective of “slum children” in Bangkok. The writer Pim Wangtechawat joined the discussion to comment on this book, based on a book review she wrote for Mekong Review, and Rungsiri Nuchsuwan who assisted Giuseppe in the research joined virtually to share the experience working closely with him and the children.
