Dear Partners and Friends of SEA Junction,
As you may be aware, our venue has been closed for renovations since mid-March. Our former 40-meter area was unable to accommodate a large crowd for events like before due to COVID-19 containment restrictions in the past 2 years. We were glad that, in February, the BACC offered us the next-door space after it became vacant. Although we were hesitant due to the increased responsibility, we jumped at the opportunity to break down the wall in between the two spaces and create a double-sized venue of 84 meters. After months of hard work to oversee the construction details and raise funds, we are pleased to share some photos of the new beautifully expanded SEA Junction! Thanks to our supportive community we have been able to make it happen 🙂
Before the official launch of the renewed space in September, however, there are still a couple of glitches that needs to be taken care to be able to function fully (such as an inadequate sounds system for the larger space and a new television to fill the outsized library spaces). We therefore hope that you too want to be part of this collective effort and could consider making a contribution for the “finishing touches”, hence this general call for support.
