We are moved by the response to our call for proposals, showing the relevance and the need for providing support to community groups in Southeast Asia. In just three weeks we have received 22 proposals from 5 countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines and Thailand, across 16 different locations, with a variety of themes such as arts and culture, healthcare, education, rural development, refugees, migrant workers, women and LGBT.
The proposals are timely and worthy and we appreciate all applicants’ time and effort, and thoroughness of proposals. Unfortunately, however, we will only be able to fund a limited number in view of the available resources. To do justice to the proposals we have received, we are closing this first batch of application per 20 September 2020 and we will concentrate on the review process. We have already started to seek clarifications from promising proposals and we will announce the selected ones among this first batch in the next two weeks.
The next opportunity for a second batch of application is planned for February 2021.
