From 27 January to 8 February 2026, SEA Junction hosted “The Coup Years” exhibition at the 5th Floor Curved Wall of BACC, commemorating five years since Myanmar’s 2021 military coup. Curated by Rosalia Sciortino, Yit and Ji Ji, the exhibition featured photographs documenting the evolution of Myanmar’s pro-democracy resistance from 2021 to 2025, alongside an interactive art installation that transformed visitor-created butterfly artworks into a living memorial for those who lost their lives in the struggle for freedom. Through photography, music, and participatory art, the exhibition highlighted the resilience, sacrifice, and enduring hope of the people of Myanmar in their fight for democracy.
